Casino Royal Ball

Thursday 1 July 2010

Wanted: James Bond lookalikes

James Bond lookalikes are needed for a Casino Royale theme night to raise money for the Kent Air Ambulance.

The life-saving charity is appealing for doubles of the secret agent to be the star of a ball at Frasers of Coldharbour at Egerton on July 17. On the night, guests will be able to have their picture taken with “James Bond” next to an Aston Martin outside the venue near Ashford.

Auditions will be held at the Kent Air Ambulance headquarters in Marden during early July to pick the winner of the lookalike competition.

Kent Air Ambulance Trust is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and cash raised from the night will go towards Team KAAT’s fundraising bike ride around Cuba in November.

Senior fundraiser Lynn Hyder said: “This is a call to arms for all James Bond lookalikes out there to join us for a bit of fun.

“So if you think you look like Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery or Roger Moore we want to hear from you.”

Scenes from the 2006 film Casino Royale were filmed at Dunsfold Park in Surrey where the Kent Air Ambulance’s sister helicopter is based.

Tickets for the Kent Air Ambulance “Casino Royale Ball” cost £55 and includes a martini cocktail reception, a lavish three-course banquet and live entertainment.

Tickets are available from the Kent Air Ambulance box office on 01622 833833. If you think you look like James Bond call Lynn Hyder on 07884 338317.
